The Truth about Load Shift

Common sense should dictate than any successful moving company would not endure the test of time if it had a “loading system” that created a problem as opposed to insuring against one. In today’ post I’m going to separate the fiction of the rhetoric and slick sales pitches from the truth surrounding the issue of load shift.

While all reputable companies in the moving and transportation industry take great care to deal with the potential of contents shifting during a move, the truth of the matter is that load shift can occur anytime professional care is not taken. Loading systems and technology used by any established company are designed to keep your possessions safe and secure. The fact of the matter is that load shift and damage can and do occur as a result of human error, but doesn’t occur based upon the particular technology used in a company’s loading system. It is reckless drivers and/or not securing contents properly that can result in load shift, which in turn can cause damage to contents.
